Described as the Science of 8 Limbs, athletes have 8 weapons at their disposal and can use boxing, elbows, knees and kicks. The wide range of techniques utilised make it unparalleled in the world of stand up fighting.
A core activity at the Griphouse since its inception in 2005, Muay Thai is brought to you by Chief Instructor Guy Ramsay and his assistant instructors from Caledonian Muay Thai.
Muay Thai can be trained for self defence, fitness or competition. Our coaches are qualified professionals with a wealth of competition experience to help you reach whatever goals you have set.
This is the best class to begin your Muay Thai Training. You will be taught the basic techniques and principles that make Muay Thai the most effective striking martial art.
These sessions are only available for the athlete with a competent grasp of the sport of Muay Thai. Expect lots of clinch work, pad rounds and sparring in one of the gyms toughest sessions.

These sessions are designed with the competitive athlete in mind. You can expect lots of conditioning, bag work, pad work and sparring at these sessions. Although tailored for the fighters those looking for some extra conditioning or technique work will find these sessions beneficial.
Exactly what it says above. This session is excellent for those interested in working their newly honed techniques against a resisting opponent. Spar with a wide range of individuals from novice level to professional athletes for 60 minutes and watch your skill level sky rocket.
